The Reference models have a highly effective and adaptable isolation device included to the appropriate numbers of shelves.

Fully adjustable apparatus support system

The Apparatus Supports made of extruded Aluminum are effectively resonance controlled by the fact that both sides are coated with acrylic glass and insulated from the wooden strut with a cork lined underside, even the top is cork lined and offers the apparatus a scratch resistant as well as a resonance-free surface to be placed on.

This lid will make it possible to stack one Rack of Silence on top of another Rack of Silence. The Top lid is equipped with a brass spacer and cork attached to its bottom.

It is possible to add Small Top Shelves in concrete for the Rack of Silence.

The Concrete material is selected due to its excellent audio characteristics and high density that will increase the rack's stability. Unlike the body of a musical instrument, good audio racks should not vibrate, as modern drivers today render the full sound spectrum linearly. But if the rack itself does vibrate due to its construction or materials, then those vibrations affect performance by amplifying or diminishing certain sympathetic frequencies within the sound spectrum. It is a complicated physical process with a simple and clearly audible consequence.

• Its weight and high density prevent it from vibrating
• Concrete is irregularly structured that will promises for low amplitude at resonance frequency (less energy storage and a quick decay).

Concrete is also a beautiful natural material that works in most house styles, modern as well as classic. Each shelf is handmade and will thus slightly differ from one another.

The "Cable Clamp" for Hybrid and Rack of Silence will organaize and hide any cable very efficiently behind the posts of the rack.

No need to dismantle anything, just push in a screw feedthrough in the track on the Hybrid or Rack of Silence corner pillars and then add the clamp and fix it with a screw.
The Clamp is made of soft steel and can hold any cable up to 35mm in diameter.

The top isolation for Rack of Silence is basically the Disc of Silence. The isolators can be fitted on top of the Rack of Silence's corner pillars.

The Discs of Silence is our workhorse isolator as in its Heavy- Duty version can effectively isolate up to 175kg (385lbs) per set of four discs.
When we developed the Discs of Silence was our goal to create the most efficient and load capable isolator as possible without taking too much height in claims. It would also be height -adjustable and be adaptable to uneven loads.

The Discs of Silence isolation-system consists of a cylindrically formed, sturdy and anodised Aluminum base, extension-springs, center-hub and a height-adjustable center-screw with a damping layer for mechanical coupling to the component.
The Discs of Silence are available in 3 or 4pack.

The equally simple as ingenious horizontal location of the extension-springs allows a large capacity without taking as much height in claims. When correctly loaded the operating height is 32-35mm. Correctly adapted and loaded is the resonance frequency well below 4Hz. Ensuring isolation even in the lowest and most degrading frequencies, resulting in much higher fidelity without tonal highlighting and masking such as more dynamic, cleaner transient response, wider and deeper soundstage, increased low level information, tighter bass and silkier highs.

Optimized adaptation to a specific weight of each disc is obtained by adding the right number of springs, as well as the height adjustment of the center-screw.
Each disc can be configured with two, three, four or six springs depending of the amount of load. In the case of supply are three springs mounted and included and then the system can be loaded with max 45 kg when the center screw is adjusted to its top position. Additional spring-set can be obtained and then doubled the capacity to 90 kg per set of four discs. In the case of supply of the HD version are twelve springs per disc included but only six mounted. Using tables on top of the apparatus support seems to be increasingly popular. The rack will in this way have a more traditional rack look. Solid Tech introduces now both small tables as well as large top tables in veneers to extend the already existing black and white tables. The small tables are made of high density MDF and available in the following veneers: walnut, cherry, oak and black oak. The tables comes with spirit level and has the following measures: 490x435x19mm

Large top table for Rack of Silence in veneers Using tables on top of the apparatus support seems to be increasingly popular. The rack will in this way have a more traditional rack look. Solid Tech introduces mow both small tables as well as large top tables in veneers to extend the already existing black and white tables. The large top tables are made of a sandwich board that have been veneered in oak, black oak, walnut and cherry. The sandwich board consists of 4 layers:

• Layer 1: thin sheet of cork on the top to avoid any potential ringing in the table
• Layer 2: MDF
• Layer 3: Porous damp layer that will absorb and remove resonance in the table
• Layer 4: MDF

The large top shelf has a thickness of 24mm width of 527mm and  a length of 705mm. The board has been tested by letting a 9,8g steel ball be dropped 50 cm above the sandwich board and compared with a standard MDF board. The result is described in below table:

From the result one can read that the sandwich board basically damp with 10-13dB compared to a standard MDF board. The large top tables have a limitation of load as it is placed on top of the corner pillars of the Rack of Silence. The maximum load is 50kg. If further load is required it is recommended to place the uppermost rack shelf just beneath it and use the apparatus support to assist the support of the table. In this way the maximum load can be increased to 160kg.  

The Isolator support is a foot for Solid Tech Isolators to fit onto the struts of the Rack of Silence. All three isolators, Disc of Silence, Feet of Silence and IsoBlack fit nicely on top of these stands. The Isolator Support are available in Silver/black, Black/Black and Silver/white.

Turn table "small" for Silence

Large turn table for Rack of Silence Manufactured from MDF and painted in black or white texture paint, with flush mounted Spirit Level Allows for placement of a turntable with separate motor and plinth. Dimension is 695 x 520 x 22mm and weight is 6 kg. When supported only in the corners the max recommended load is 50kg. However if the top most ROS-Shelf is raised and Apparatus-Supports are placed between the ROS-Shelf and the TT-Shelf the max recommended load of the supported shelf can be increase.
