Balance is developed to color the sound as little as possible. The great stability is achieved by using thick high-density shelves and corner posts that can be filled with sand.
Balance is the winner in the Accessory HIFI category in the famous HIFI+ magazine. Read the full review here:
The shelves are 22mm thick with a very high load capacity. The shelves are available with or without built-in isolation. The isolation system effectively decouples the equipment from external or internal vibrations.
Balance stand is based on the same corner post as our Radius stand and offers the same scalability, which means you can build the stand both horizontally and vertically with the four well-chosen post lengths, namely 65.5; 150; 234.5 and 319 mm.
Balance with its retracted corner pillars are designed to primarily give as much highlight to the equipment as possible. The shelves are made of waxed oak to preserve the natural wooden feel and corner posts in black or silver anodized aluminum
Four shelf color variants are available:
1. Silk oak 2. White oak 3. Black oak 4. Tobacco oak
Balance Double shelves have a width of 695mm. Two standad size equipment can be supported on each shelf. The shelf has an efficient integrated isolation system in-built. The shelf is veneered in oak and available in three colors, black oak, white oak, Tobacco oak and silk oak.
Balance Single shelves have a width of 695mm. The shelf has an efficient integrated isolation system in-built. The shelf is veneered in oak and available in three colors, black oak, white oak and silk oak.
Balance Single shelves have a width of 695mm. Top shelves are equipped with a bubble level. The shelf is veneered in oak and available in three colors, black oak, white oak and silk oak.
Balance Basic Double shelves have a width of 1300mm. Two standard size equipments can be supported on each shelf. The shelf is veneered in oak and available in three colors, black oak, white oak, Tobacco oak and silk oak.
Balance shelves are available in four different colors in the oak veneer. White oak, Black oak, Tobacco oak and silk Oak. The Shelves are stained and waxed in order to emphasize the wood feel.
The noise and vibration originated from the floor results in an audible reduction of the sound quality. The brand-new Feet of Concrete with inbuilt isolation are designed to absorb and decouple the rack and the very sensitive equipment from both static electricity as well as vibrations. The feet are built in 6 layers to optimize the isolation capability.
Layer 1: Brass insert where the rack spike is located to remove any non-desired resonance.
Layer 2: Concrete top to increase the weight and isolate from static electricity that arise from floor and carpets.
Layer 3: Rubber O-ring that aims to absorb vibrations and thus isolate the rack from vibrations in the floor.
Layer 4: Hollow aluminum spacer that can come in either black or silver
Layer 5: Steel sand that will absorb the low-level frequencies when transforming vibration to heat. The steel also adds weight to make the foot more stable.
Layer 6: Cork sheet to protect the floor as well as absorb vibrations.
The Feet of Concrete is available in 4 and 6 pack and in silver or black anodized aluminum and has a size of D70xH28mm.
Load limitation is max 50kg per foot or 200kg for 4 feet.
The design will enhance the racks and give a sense of handcraftsmanship by being built in various materials. The concrete top gives a modern look that works nicely with all Solid Tech models and colors variants.
In order to satisfy each client wish and desire is Solid Tech now introducing the Spike Fixed Floor Protector. Using spike is always necessary as it is well known that it increases the sound quality extensively. However standard floor protectors may scratch the floor if the rack/loudspeaker stand is accidentally moved out of place. The new floor protector has a stainless spike integrated and incapsulated in the aluminum cover in order stay fixed to the floor protector if the rack is moved. Beneath the spike is located a brass spacer that aim to avoid any non-desired resonance or ringing. In the bottom of the floor protector is attached a sheet of cork to damp and protect the floor from the hard metal. The measures are D50xH45mm and the thread is available both in M8 or M6. The foot will build 26-40mm (added height between end of pillar to the floor).
Note:
M6 is mainly for non Solid Tech audio equipments/speaker stand.
Solid Tech always uses M8 thread.
The corner-pillars are made from the finest Swedish Aluminum extrusion and beatifully anodized in either deep black or satin silver finish.
The choice of Aluminum and extensive internal bracing provides for a very favorable weight/stiffness ratio and a non ringing design.
Four well chosen lengths constitute standard range, namely 65,5, 150, 234,5 and 319mm.
Are you in the need for a different mix of corner-pillars in your rack kit? No problems at all! If the actual design allows for an exchange we can tailor made to your needs and wishes. If that were still not good enough, we are making custom lengths between 30-650mm.
The Balance isolation system consist of four isolation units that has been integrated in the bottom and top of a shelf. Each units consist of seven removable springs. A user can maximize his isolation shelf performance by removing the amount of springs in order to optimize the vibration isolation for the equipment pending the weight and its distribution over the top shelf surface in order for the equipment to be perfectly leveled. With all seven springs mounted the shelf can uphold a weight of 45kg. If further weight is needed to supported heavy equipments is an HD (High Density) spring available as an accessory and then if all seven springs are exchange on all four units (28 springs), the isolation shelf can uphold as much as 100kg. On all Balance isolation shelves is a bubble level integrated to make it easy for the user to keep his system leveled.
